Junior Church

Preschool Jr. Church (2's or 3's/4's) is available during the entire Worship service.  Just check-in your child before you head upstairs to Worship.  Jr. Church for 2 yr. olds meets in the Nursery Suite while Jr. Church for 3's and 4's meets in the classroom hallway, just before the Library.  See a Greeter for directions.

Jr. Church for K/1st/2nd Graders begins with Worship with families and is dismissed after special music.  While FFC recognizes the importance of children learning to Worship with their families, K/1st/2nd Jr. Church offers younger Elementary children the option of spending nine months hearing a thorough, God-centered, Bible-satured Gospel message.

"Jesus, What a Savior!" - We were created to enjoy the glory of God. But as sinners we fail to treasure Him as we should.  Our hearts are full of sin and we stand in need of a Savior. This chronological study on redemption explores the incomparable greatness and worth of God, the desperate condition of helpless sinners, and the all-sufficient work of Jesus Christ to redeem sinful people.

Sunday School

Sunday School (10:00 a.m., September thru May)

Using Children Desiring God curriculum, Sunday School for children at Faith Family Church is a priority.  We believe every Sunday is an opportunity for your child to learn more about the One TrueGod of the Universe.  Beginning in our Nursery area and reaching all the way thru the Elementary years, Faith Family Church provides a firm foundation in God-centered, Bible-saturated curriculum.

Nursery & 2 yr. olds - "A Sure Foundation".  The church nursery should be an exciting and vital ministry in the church. It should be be a launching pad for nurturing the faith of the next generation. A Sure Foundation: A Philosophy and Curriculum for Ministry to Infants and Toddlers is designed to help you transform your ministry to infants and toddlers into an integral beginning—a place of prayer for young children, a place where they hear foundational Bible stories, and a place where children learn simple truth statements and begin to memorize scripture as they form their language skills.

3 & 4 yr. olds - "He Established a Testimony".  God has testified of His glorious deeds and mighty power. This curriculum explores God's greatness by noting key themes found chronologically throughout the Old Testament. Bible stories are not written out; teachers prepare the lesson through the study of scripture using a list of key themes, opening illustrations, and application questions to acquaint children with a great God whose character never changes.

Kindergarten - "He Has Spoken by His Son".  The New Testament beautifully unfolds the wonder and power of Jesus Christ. This curriculum explores the greatness of God in Christ by noting key themes found chronologically throughout the New Testament. Bible stories are not written out; teachers prepare the lesson through the study of scripture using a list of key themes, opening illustrations, and application questions to acquaint children with a great God who has spoken by His Son.

1st & 2nd Grade - "The ABC's of God".  Right thinking about God is essential for the life of faith. Using the alphabet as a framework for teaching the attributes of God, this study explores the delight that God has in Himself as the source, means, and purpose of all things. Each lesson asks and answers three key questions, "Who is God?" "What is He like?" and "How should I act toward Him?" as it presents a theology of God for children.

3rd Grade - "In the Beginning . . . Jesus".  The Bible is one complete true story that progressively reveals God's redemptive plan, which comes to complete fulfillment in the Person and work of Jesus Christ. In the Beginning...Jesus begins with a historical mystery—Jesus' death on the cross—and asks the questions: "What really happened here?" "Why did Jesus die?" and "Who did it?" To find the answers to these questions, the study goes to the beginning of the Bible narrative in Genesis and then moves chronologically through the Old Testament text as students search for clues that foreshadow the coming of Jesus and His redemptive work on the cross. Special emphasis is given to showing that the Bible is God's story from beginning to end and that Jesus is the key to understanding the story.

4th & 5th Grade - "To Be Like Jesus".  What is salvation? How does someone become a Christian? What does it mean to become like Jesus? This curriculum helps answer these important questions by explaining elements of the Gospel message, its purpose, and promise. A major portion of this study focuses on the doctrine of sanctification - the process by which a Christian becomes more and more conformed to the likeness of Jesus.

Kid's Clubs

Wednesdays (September thru April), 6:30-8:00 p.m.

TeamKID - is a club for kids 3 yrs through Kindergarten. It features Bible Stories, Scripture Memory, Crafts, Recreation, and Missions.

DNA - "Designed-Nurtured-Accepted". We use the mid-week Children Desiring God curriculum with key focus on scripture memorization. We really want to place an emphasis on cumulative review, challenging the kids to memorize not only their weekly verse but to retain the verses they’ve learned in previous weeks.  To that end we have strategized about how we can empower our parents to review and reinforce scripture memorization at home. We will be working hard this year to utilize several fronts of communication to let you, the parents, know what we learned on Wednesday nights and what verses to be working on.  On top of our ticket/prize system we will also be working on the badge/reward program that is built into our curriculum. Children will have the opportunity to earn 4 badges throughout the year in DNA. These badges change from year to year!

I know it sounds like work but all of this memorizing, learning, and earning is actually going to be FUN! We will have games, skits, experiments and more. Come by the church building on a Wednesday night and you’ll be able to measure the fun in volume!  We are so excited about working with your kids this year, seeing friends from last year and welcoming new ones. We consider it a privilege and a blessing to get to know your children and to share these beautiful lessons with them.
